So, this past week is the first time so far that I didn't upload something for my personal challenge.  So no smoothie for me this week. ;_;  However, I've been working on some really great stuff lately, between personal work and college assignments.  It's fantastic when you have the freedom to make the art you want to and get critiqued and graded for it.  Helps give you direction to develop your own style more.  Should be an interesting critique. And I've had a lot of inspiration lately, mostly because of the amazing people around me.  So things are going great.

Every once in a while, an image comes along in the tumult of your thoughts that absolutely demands to be created.  I think I've just run into one of those thoughts, in the middle of the night, just working off of those weird emotions that drift around in the sleep-deprived mind. Grabbed my sketchbook, and just went for it.  Sometimes it's really cool what can come to you when you're just running on emotions like that.  So, I think that I'm going to put a lot of work into this image. I want to see just how far I can push myself on this one.

And now i should probably do my college homework...

Okay, so in about a week or so, I'll be starting up my second year in college *finally* able to do Illustration Major courses, rather than the multipurpose foundation year courses.  The first year stuff has been a great help, and i'm really excited to see what all we do this year.  But anyways, long story short, I'm giving myself a sort of ultimatum that I absolutely HAVE to upload at least one image to my deviant art account every single week.  Absolutely no excuses.  I'm always sketching between classes anyways, so I sure as hell can come up with something to post.  Every time I log on, my account just looks so tiny and full of stuff that is far from my best work.  So this year will be the year to push myself.

I'll ask my friends to join me in this as well.  See if we can all put some great stuff out there for others to see.     Still trying to figure out what to do if i don't make a week or something like that.  Maybe deny myself one of those delicious Tropical Smoothie Cafe smoothies?  ;_;  Yeah, that might be some good motivation there.  If anyone comes up with any more good ideas, let me know.  I wanna do this, and do it well.
